Built In Cutting Board Replacement

Since I've been doing this handyman stuff officially for around half a year now, I figured I should start taking pictures of some of the things I've worked on and posting about it. So here's something I recently worked on and managed to actually remember to take some pictures of. On some of the older style houses, there's a built-in pull out style cutting board. It was getting a bit too crusty like for must customer. They went and bought this really nice Ikea bamboo cutting board and wanted to replace the old one with the Ikea board. Here's a side by side of the nice and new versus the crusty-ness of the old Took both of them to town on a table saw. Trimmed off the wood stained "handle" from the original for re-use. Trimmed off the extra protruding handle and cut the bamboo cutting board to size. Interesting note, the middle of the Ikea board isn't quite solid!
